Ballston Lake Clean Up Day occurs annually on the first Saturday of May. Supplies are distributed at the Ballston Lake Firehouse on Route 146 A between 8 and 10 AM. Volunteers rid streets, roadways and public spaces of winter debris in the area of Ballston Lake and its environs. Trash bags, latex type gloves and trash bags are provided. Bags can be returned to a truck from the Town of Clifton Park parked at the BL Fire House or at the parking lot near the Outlet Road Recreation Area where a Town of Ballston truck will be parked. Closed toed footwear, work gloves, stabber poles, grabbers, etc. are recommended. Masks are required. The event occurs rain or shine. Sponsors include Ballston Lake Improvement Association BLIA, BH-BL Business Association (BPA), Town of Ballston, BH-BL Rotary Club and Town of Clifton Park. Stewart’s has donated 100 free ice cream coupons. Water will be available. Masks are required at the Firehouse. Due to Covid, refreshments won’t be served this year. Address any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you very much.
A new optional feature of Ballston Lake Clean Up Day will allow volunteers to preregister. Preregistration is especially recommended for groups to help ease congestion at the Ballston Lake Firehouse on May 1. For groups, list the primary contact person and estimate the number of people participating. You will be notified to confirm your participation. Preferred streets assigned on a first come/first served basis. Please complete this electronic form by April 27, 2021. Those not opting to preregister will still be welcome to sign in and receive their assignments at the Firehouse between 8 and 10 AM on the Day of the event.
