Kate Carney and her committee - Miss Tessa Carney Stuhlman and Miss Emily Carney – are gearing up for this year’s Flag Day Parade. Our working title “Ballston Lake Centennial School of Fish” celebrates the general theme for the parade in tribute to the BHBL Schools on the occasion of the district’s centennial. We invite a “walking” contingent of older children to give out Mardi Gras style
beads to the crowd of spectators. Waving, smiling smaller tykes and a few parents are invited to be in the boat. Many thanks Jon Andersen and Andersen Boat for their partnership with BLIA in our parade entry! If you have children (grandchildren) who would
get a kick out of being a part of our BLIA parade team give the Carney / Stuhlmans a call at 399-2969 to get your names on the
list. The little kids in the boat aren’t allowed to toss anything to the crowd as a safety precaution; but squirters and bubblers are most
welcomed.
