June 2017 Newsletter: Clean Up Day- May 5th

June 22, 2017

Over 40 community members of all ages filled a Town of Ballston dump truck on Clean Up Day!

BLIA worked cooperatively with the BH-BL Business / Professional Association and the Town on the successful effort. Girl Scout leader Linda Herman LaFerriere deserves cudos for the largest participating group – – seven girls showed up to help! Special thanks to FoCastle Farm and Lakeside Farm for their donation of donuts, to Carney’s Tavern for letting us install a banner across their porch, to AJ Sign for updating the banner and to Villago Ristorante for inviting the volunteers for a delicious pizza lunch that afternoon. Clean Up Day is a great way to demonstrate the mess that littering makes; especially to our children.
